BIG NEWS!

New and improved discussion boards coming this week!

I’ve had some requests to make the discussion boards a little more user-friendly, and I have to say I’ve agreed with all the comments.  It’s hard to check back for responses to your posts, there are no signatures or avatars, html is a huge pain to add, it’s hard to message other members … the list goes on!

Next Monday, a brand-new discussion forum will go live, already stocked with all the posts you lovely ladies have shared with us in the last 10 months.  It has all those issues addressed, and many more … and if you’re familiar with many popular bulletin boards such as ModernMom.com or Mothering.commune then you’ll feel right at home.  If not, I think you’ll fall in love with the new features right away! 

If you’ve ever posted on the current discussion board, later this week you’ll get an email from me (bethany@sanemoms.com) with the subject : Welcome to “sanemoms.com”.  It will have your temporary password and a link to the new forum.  (Your username remains the same).  Log in and check it out! 

A few things to note:

• You’ll see your own posts on there, though they won’t have your name as the poster yet (I’ll link your posts to your profile asap).  
• If you have never posted on the boards but are a member, you’ll need to sign up again for the new forum, watch for details next week, right in this section.
  
• Next Monday, the new forum will officially be launched, links will be udpdated on this homepage, and I’ll explain more about it then.

Quick Update

Hi moms,

Sorry to be MIA for a few days! I’ve been moving to MA for the summer, and going a bit crazy with all the details of leaving my house in the care of strangers, packing for 2 months, and keeping my kids sane in the process (let alone me!).  My sanity was in question but I’m starting to get it back :).

I’ll get a newsletter out later today, and thanks for your patience.  There weren’t enough answers in time to give a prize this week, and I hope my kids don’t find the prize before I send it out next week!

Happy Memorial Day!

I took the day off over here at SaneMoms, to pay attention to my kids, the sun, too much bbq, and sandy sticky sons.  I had a great day, but didn’t make the time to take care of contest business over here.  I’ll catch up with you all tomorrow … hope you had a great week-end, and a long one at that for those of you in the U.S.!

Taking a break ...

Wishing you all a happy new years in advance!  I’m off for a true vacation, meaning little/no internet access, lots of food/family, a beach, and no cell phone service.  The only part that has me wondering a bit if I’ll come back more sane or not is the fact that there will be 18 of us together in one house for a week!  Hope you’re winding up the year in a relaxing way, and taking some time for yourself to recharge.  

A huge thanks goes out to all you great moms who have helped get sanemoms.com off to a lovely start, every story is appreciated!  Thanks for taking the time to write.  I’ll catch up with you all next weekend and hopefully have some new stories of my own to share!

Welcome to the new Sane Moms website!  Under development for far less than nine months, this might be considered a premature birth but the time is now.  This will be a natural birth (for a website, that is) meaning you’ll probably be seeing stretch marks for awhile, hear a scream or two of pain and frustration, and see some code here and there that really shouldn’t be seen.  Bare with us, and we can’t wait to get to know you!
