Q of the Week : When do you get to bed?

With the marathon over, I have vague hopes of being able to get a bit more sleep for awhile.  This is likely just a silly dream, but I always have hopes :).  For this to happen, however, I have to start going to bed earlier: the life-long struggle that I never seem to win.  I’m yawning as I type this, as I didn’t manage to go to bed till after midnight last night, despite getting up at 4:30 yesterday and burning 2500+ calories before dinner.  I truly never learn!

It’s extremely rare for me to go to bed before midnight, it’s more often 12:30 or 1, and lately that seems to have slidden to closer to 2am.  I get up between 6:30 and 8:00am, depending on whether I’m running in the morning or not.  Once in awhile, late nights + the freedom of homeschooling means we all sleep in till after 9.  This never makes for a very good school day though, and I’ve been trying to avoid it.

If you’re the early-to-bed and early-to-rise type, have you always been this way, or did you force yourself to change?  Curious if you have any winning strategies, I could use some help!  It’s just so hard to cut off the bliss of the quiet hours of the night.  Perhaps I’m just not appreciating the bliss of the quiet hours of the morning?  This is entirely possible.

What’s your sleep routine?
